About Henry Churniavsky
Henry (Churnavsky) Churney, has always had an interest in comedy. Over the years he wrote some comedy scripts but only started doing stand up in late 2014.
His debut as a stand up came after doing a comedy course with Sam Avery at Radio City. The first gig was at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool. No not on the main stage but in a small room beneath the main stage but he was hooked! Henry enjoyed the occasion but did not get back onto the stage until January 2015, thanks to Hoo Ha Comedy.
Since Jan 2015 Henry has now done 150 plus gigs around the UK especially in North West.
Henry has done various charity gigs raising money for Alzheimer’s, CALM & Victims of the Manchester Arena.
2016 & 2017 he has done stand up in Florida/ Amsterdam
2017 – Edinburgh Fringe show 2 Religions 1 Comedy Show with Joe Bains
2018 – now produced an hour solo show
“Aaah The Growing Pains of a Neurotic Jew.”

In September 2015 Henry with his friend Tim Grey @ Espresso Plus (Liverpool) opened a monthly comedy night (3rd Tuesday of the month) called CUE Comedy (Comedy’s Ultimate Experience)
Henry has introduced many new and old comics to a very appreciative and growing audiences at Espresso Plus, Rose lane, Liverpool. Not only has he been fine tuning his act but he has turned his hand at being MC.
Henry opens the venue to anyone who wants to have a go and also been known to hand over the MC to many who want to try their hand at being a compare.
CUE Comedy has been raising funds for 2 charities Alzheimer’s Society and CALM with the help and support of many local companies.
BAY TV Liverpool came to a CUE Comedy night recently and did a piece on the comedy (see clip) thanks to Shaun Troke at BAY TV.
In Dec 15 Henry was interviewed by Ben Turner for FAB Radio re his early interest in comedy, how he got involved in comedy and CUE Comedy.
Henry has already in 2016 been asked to open new gigs which will give local and further afield comics a chance to come along and entertain crowds.
